  1. I learned this when I first started writing — I created a character i tried to like, but in the end found so distasteful I just had to make him a total jerk. The character seemed to take over and do this to himself!

  2. This was excellent. I liked the quotes you used, and the way you explained how characters should be developed. I especially liked the quotation that characters should be developed as living people, not reduced to caricatures. Some very good advice here; thanks for sharing it.
