Liebster Revisited

Well, not entirely true -I’m not revisiting, I’ve been renominated and this time by the incredibly zany tourmama616 (definitely check out her blog ‘The Playground’).

While I’m grateful for the recognition and that tourmama616 thought of me, I haven’t really had the time to research other blogs to nominate and so I’ll have to decline the award.

I will, however, answer the questions she set me:

1.) Have you seen Alexader Skarsgård in True Blood, and if not, why not?

No. I’ve not got anything against them, but I stopped watching vampire-related shows after my twenties. Also, between writing my book, this blog and herding a small child, I haven’t much time to watch TV.

2.) Would you rather fight 100 duck size horses or 1 horse size duck? What’s your first plan of defense?

One horse-sized duck. I’d set up a defensive wall of bread as a diversion while I boiled up vats of plum sauce.

3.) The olympics are just around the corner…besides the inevitable riots that will take place, what event are you most looking forward to?

My son turns two in the summer and I can’t wait to see the look on his face at his birthday party.

4.) Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?

No, but I’ve danced with his sister at a wedding.

5.) If you could have one food only, for the rest of your life, and it wouldn’t be bad for you or have any ill repercussions whatsoever, what would it be?

Dim Sum. I could eat that all day.

6.) What is your own personal favorite piece that you have posted that didn’t get nearly enough attention the first time around, that you would like to take this opportunity to plug?

That’s a tough one. I can’t decide between Sun-Ripened and Sibling Rivalry.

7.) If you were a desert island, what book would you be? (Yup, you read that right…just trying to mix up a standard question and get your creative juices flowing).

Strawberries.

8.) Have you ever played with a Ouija board? Think it worked?

I have and it did, but the living are a boring bunch — I won’t be talking to them again.

9.) What’s the oddest job you’ve ever had… You know the one that you did because you were young and needed the money?

I work with utility contractors – it doesn’t get odder than that.

10.) What Star Wars character are you and why?

Jabba the Hutt because he has the best outfit.

  1. Sweet, and now seeing it on someone else’s blog, I found my “hide under the table of embarrassment and consider handing in my grammar nazi status” for my atrocious mishandling of “horse-sized duck and duck-sized horse”. Yikes. I only hope everyone will be more forgiving than I am.

Also, I possibly should have made it more clear that I was referring to olympic event, although hooray for the lil’ guy’s b-day!
